Tuition Rates
Tuition rates are determined by dividing the season into nine equal portions. Therefore, tuition payments are consistent each month, regardless of the number of classes contained in that month.
Tuition is due on the first of each month, beginning in August.
Families have the option to prepay by semester, or for the entire year, for a discount of 5%. Please inquire for this option.
Missed classes are not eligible for pro-rating or refunds. It is the student's prerogative to attend classes regularly in order to learn and advance as expected.
Families with more than one dancer who have not yet reached the unlimited family rate: Take 20% off the amount of second and subsequent dancer's tuition. Second dancer's full cost must be less than or equal to that of the first dancer.
A 20% discount will be applied for each new student who cites you as a referral. Please see the new student referral program (below) for more details.

Monthly Tuition Rates By Age Level
Tuition rates are averaged over nine months of equal payments, from September to May, regardless of the number of classes a particular student takes each month. Also, our registration software will figure out your totals for you!
For a second student in the same family, take 20% off the lesser amount.
Pink Level (ages 4-5), class length: 45 minutes
$55
Blue Level (age 6-8), all classes 60 minutes each
$65 first class, $35 each additional
Purple Level (age 8-10)
$115 Ballet, 2.5 hours total
$65 Tap/Jazz or Modern alone, add to other classes $35 each
Teal Level (age 10-12)
$80 Recreational Ballet
$130 Ballet, 3 hours total
$175 Ballet, 4.5 hours total
$65 Tap/Jazz or Modern alone, add to other classes $35 each
Black Level (age 12+)
$80 Recreational Ballet
$130 Ballet, 3 hours total
$175 Ballet, 4.5 hours total
$65 Tap/Jazz or Modern alone, add to other classes $35 each
***For Levels Purple and above, ballet meets on multiple days per week and each class lasts longer than an hour. Purple has two 75-minute classes, Teal and Black have two 90-minute classes each week. We do not separate these classes, because once students reach this age, frequency of practice becomes very important for reasonable progress. Teal and Black have the option of adding a third class if desired. This third class is required for competition participants. There is an option to take just one class per week at what we would consider the recreational level. Recreational ballet students will not participate in any performances. ***
Adults
$65 first class, $35 each additional
10-class card $180
20-class card $340
Single student tuition cap: $215
Family tuition cap: $387
This means that once you reach this dollar amount, you can join as many additional classes as you like at no extra charge! A family can have as many students, paid from the same source, as would like to dance with us.
Private Sessions
Pricing for private sessions is assessed per session, not per month. For a semiprivate (2 or 3 students), this amount can be divided amongst the participants. Private sessions are available for all students age 8 to adult. Scheduling is dependent on instructor availability.
$65 per one-hour session

New Student Referral Program
Current dance families whose accounts are in good standing may refer new students for a discount of 20% off of the following month's payment for each new student who enrolls at Etudes (those who pay per semester will have the equivalent amount deducted from the following semester's payment). This discount may be combined with any others, with no limits. The new student may not be a sibling, parent, or child of any current student, live in the same household, have tuition being paid by - or otherwise be financially dependant on - the same person as the referring student. The new student may not be one who has been enrolled with Etudes previously. Both the new student and the current student must notify the director of the referral relationship, or the discount cannot be awarded. (In other words, it is your responsibility to make it known. Kara will not chase you down to ask.)
