Competition Team

Etudes now has a competition team! Our goal is to continue to grow and improve, as individuals and as a studio, and we look forward to meeting new dance friends from other places and getting useful feedback from judges to help us become our very best.
Currently, we are attending one competition per year, and that competition is ballet-based. Therefore students must be enrolled in ballet with at least one prior year's experience in order to be considered. |
Requirements
Director approval is required. This opportunity is open to ballet students in Purple level and up with at least one recent year of ballet instruction. Competition team dancers must be enrolled in all ballet classes offered for their age level. Team members must also enroll in the Competition Prep class appropriate for their level. Dancers who are not deemed ready to join the team are strongly encouraged to take this class as well, in order to hone skills that will be needed to compete in the future. Taking other styles is also hugely beneficial, because more hours in the studio will enhance your performance. Team members must maintain an attendance record of at least 85% in all classes and rehearsals. Team members are expected to be good role models to their fellow students, adhering to dress code standards as well as exhibiting respectful behavior toward instructors, parents, and classmates.
